Nutshell Miniature Installation
This dollhouse-style installation was made in response to finding a creative way to present my work during the corona lockdown. It uses the home as a bitter sweet backdrop for a collection of miniature portraits of people wearing unusual hats. I had been reading a lot of crime fiction and this led me to discover the Nutshell studies of Unexplained Death. These are dollhouse-style dioramas used by Frances Glessner Lee, an early forensic scientist, which inspired this installation.
