RWA Open 2026 are exhibiting 2 of my paintings this year.
The Three Peas 152x101cm oil on canvas is about sleepless nights. The Princess is balanced on twelve mattresses on top of three cheeky peas. It makes me think of all of the things that keep me awake at night. The Princess and the Pea is a well loved story which I remember from Ladybird books as a child. I also used to read it to my daughter to help her get to sleep.
I am delighted to say that I was awarded a highly commended certificate sponsored by the Cass Art Award for the painting of The Three Peas at the varnishing day.
My work will be on display at the Royal West of England Academy from September 12- 3 January and will be available to buy at the gallery in Bristol or on the RWA website link.
